Overview
規格角材でつくる、曲面形状の立体内装什器
Sculptural, curved furniture built from standard square timber
株式会社日建設計による自社ビル改修プロジェクト。社内外の交流、実験、創造のためのオープンなプラットフォームとして計画されている。自然素材、リサイクル材、再利用した既存家具で空間を構成し、利用者の自由な使い方を促すことを意図している。
Sculptural, curved furniture built from standard square timber
A renovation of Nikken Sekkei Ltd.’s own office building, planned as an open platform for exchange, experimentation, and creation inside and outside the company. The space is made of natural materials, recycled materials, and reused existing furniture, intended to encourage users to use it freely.

VUILDは、フロア全体に立体的な動線と滞留空間をつくる、高さの異なるくの字形の什器の製作を担当した。30mm角のルーバー材で複雑な曲面を構成するため、治具の役割を兼ねる柱や棚板をShopBotで加工した。

設計監理は日建設計、施工管理は藤木工務店と綜合デザインが担い、木材は野地木材工業とトキワ商会が調達した。

Completion Photos

VUILD was responsible for producing V-shaped furniture of various heights that creates three-dimensional circulation and places to linger across the floor. To form complex curved surfaces with 30 mm square louver members, columns and shelf boards that also serve as jigs were machined with ShopBot.

Design and supervision were by Nikken Sekkei, construction management by Fujiki Komuten and Sogo Design, and the timber was supplied by Noji Mokuzai Kogyo and Tokiwa Shokai.
