施設に関わる人と地域の人で、つくり続ける場所
A place continually made by the people involved in the facility and the local community
広島県福山市に2022年9月にオープンした、元そごうの1階部分をリノベーションしたカルチャー施設「iti SETOUCHI」。オープン前から、施設に関わる人や地域住民と継続的に家具づくりを行った。この際に制作した椅子、机、屋台は、オープン後も施設で使われている。
A place continually made by the people involved in the facility and the local community
iti SETOUCHI is a cultural facility opened in September 2022 in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, renovating the first floor of the former Sogo department store. Furniture-making with people involved in the facility and local residents was carried out continuously before the opening. The chairs, desks, and stalls made then are still used in the facility.
02 プロセス
Process
オープン前に一部開放していたスペース「CAGE」で、2022年3月から継続的に家具づくりのワークショップを実施した。施設内にはShopBotが導入されており、現在も定期的にワークショップが開催されている。
Furniture-making workshops were held continuously from March 2022 in CAGE, a space partly opened before the opening. A ShopBot is installed in the facility, and workshops are still held regularly.
