共につくることから始まる、復興の家づくり

Recovery housing that begins with building together

能登半島地震とその後の豪雨災害により、多くの住宅が失われた。解体やインフラ復旧の遅れ、職人・資材の不足により住宅再建が長期化するなか、被災者自身が友人やボランティアと共に住宅を建てる再建手法を提案した。建設プロセスを公開し、全国の支援者が参加できる仕組みとすることで、被災者と支援者が継続的に関われる関係をつくることを目的とした。平時における地域のレジリエンス向上にも応用できる住まいづくりの手法として位置づけている。

Recovery housing that begins with building together

The Noto Peninsula Earthquake and subsequent heavy rains destroyed many homes. With rebuilding prolonged by delays in demolition and infrastructure recovery and by shortages of craftspeople and materials, a rebuilding method was proposed in which survivors build their homes with friends and volunteers. By making the construction process public and open to supporters across Japan, the aim was to create ongoing relationships between survivors and supporters. It is also positioned as a home-building method that can strengthen community resilience in ordinary times.

多雪地域向けの「能登モデル」は2mの積雪に耐える構造とし、4.5寸勾配の屋根と下見板張りの外壁を採用した。解体された住宅から回収した棟木をShopBotで再加工して床材に転用し、昭和期のガラスを再利用した建具も製作した。

The “Noto model” for heavy-snow areas is built to withstand 2 m of snow, with a 4.5-sun roof pitch and clapboard exterior. Ridge beams salvaged from a demolished house were re-machined with ShopBot into flooring, and fittings were made reusing Showa-era glass.

Construction Process

VUILDのセルフビルドキット「NESTING」を用い、石川県を拠点とする建築家・BEYONDの田中順也氏の指導のもと、被災者が友人やボランティアと共に延べ40日間で建設した。参加者は延べ150名である。

Construction Process

Using VUILD’s self-build kit NESTING, and under the guidance of Junya Tanaka of BEYOND, an architect based in Ishikawa, the survivor built the house with friends and volunteers over a total of 40 days, with 150 participants in total.
