Product development that creates a space between "freedom" and "security"
広島県廿日市市の「もみのき森林公園」のリニューアルの一環として、全国20か所でキャンプ場を運営する株式会社Recampと共同で「TENT★CABIN」を設計・施工した。テントサイトとして使えなかった傾斜地の活用や、シーズンに応じた移設を想定して計画した。テントの開放性と建物の安心感を併せ持つ宿泊空間を目指した。
Product development that creates a space between "freedom" and "security"
As part of the renewal of Mominoki Forest Park in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, VUILD designed and built “TENT★CABIN” together with Recamp Inc., which operates campsites at 20 locations in Japan. It was planned to make use of sloping land that could not be used as tent sites and to allow relocation by season. The aim was lodging that combines the openness of a tent with the security of a building.

奥行きのある木造の架構と大きく開く可動式の屋根により、内部と周囲の自然をつなぐ構成とした。

施工プロセス
Construction Process

傾斜地に対応する基礎構造と、分解・組立が可能な部材構成により、平坦でない土地への設置や移設を可能にした。

設計はVUILD PlaceLab、構造計算は森部康司氏が担当し、施工はVUILD PlaceLabとRecampが行った。広島工業大学の学生有志が施工をサポートした。

Construction Process

A foundation adapted to sloping ground and a kit of parts that can be dismantled and reassembled allow installation on uneven land and relocation.

Design was by VUILD PlaceLab and structural calculations by Koji Moribe, with construction carried out by VUILD PlaceLab and Recamp. Student volunteers from Hiroshima Institute of Technology supported the construction.
