Architecture-tech startup VUILD Inc. has launched a new sales site for “ShopBot,” the 3D wood processing machine it distributes.

Through three businesses, VUILD Inc. (“VUILD”) works to create an environment where anyone can take part in making things without specialist expertise, and where anyone can become a carpenter or architect: (1) the “ShopBot support business,” which imports, distributes and supports the 3D wood processing machine “ShopBot”; (2) the “EMARF business,” which operates “EMARF,” a web application for on-demand local production of custom-made furniture; and (3) the “design business,” which handles design and architectural design.

The ShopBot support division, which has supported the introduction of 3D wood processing machines and provided after-sales care, has installed ShopBots at 44 locations in Japan and abroad (as of August 2019), and aims to reach a total of 50 units delivered within 2019 and 100 units in 2020. In addition, CEO Koki Akiyoshi is the only evangelist in Japan, having been certified as a ShopBot Guru by ShopBot Tools in 2013.

The newly launched ShopBot sales site lists the ShopBot models VUILD handles, their specifications and the purchasing process. With the addition of an inquiry desk and a page for existing owners, information about ShopBot is now easier to access than before. Going forward, we will further spread manuals for operating ShopBot, create a smooth path for purchasing consumables, and foster a community of ShopBot owners.

If you are interested in purchasing or have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
