Shiiba-Style Childcare and Wooden Play Equipment Project

Play equipment co-developed with Shiiba Village, Miyazaki, using the village’s timber resources, for Shiiba-style childcare, which emphasizes “children building their own strength.” Based on interviews with nursery teachers, the design was developed together with them from the prototype stage, on the condition that children can devise their own ways of playing. The project was carried out as local production for local consumption, processing local resources within the region.
