焚火を囲み、内に向かう、螺旋の会議室
A spiral meeting room that gathers around a bonfire and turns inward
神奈川県鎌倉市の敷地内に計画した、焚火を囲む会議室。地面との接点を減らしながら、煙突効果を得られるボリュームとした。周辺環境を取り込みつつ内向きの居場所となるよう、敷地内の3つの方向が1点で交わる三重螺旋の形状とした。
A spiral meeting room that gathers around a bonfire and turns inward
A meeting room around a bonfire, planned on a site in Kamakura, Kanagawa. The volume reduces contact with the ground while producing a chimney effect. To create an inward-facing place that still takes in its surroundings, it takes a triple-helix form in which three directions of the site meet at a single point.

離散的な縦リブ材と、外周材にかぶせた立体縫製の膜がブレースとして機能し、構造を成立させている。

Discrete vertical ribs and a three-dimensionally sewn membrane over the outer members act as bracing to complete the structure.

施工プロセス
Construction Process

設計から竣工まで3か月という工期のなかで、意匠・構造・膜の変更に対応するため、抽象モデルから部材加工データまでをGrasshopperで一元管理した。5軸CNC加工機BIESSEで加工した平面部材を立体的に接合し、乗用車で運べる部材数で螺旋形状を構成した。

Construction Process

To accommodate changes in design, structure, and membrane within a three-month period from design to completion, everything from abstract models to fabrication data was managed in Grasshopper. Flat members machined on the 5-axis CNC BIESSE were joined three-dimensionally, forming the spiral with few enough parts to transport by car.
